ABOUT
Hi, I’m Tessa McAndrews!
I’m a sports media creative and photographer with a love for capturing moments that matter, both on and off the field.
My journey into photography started back in high school when I’d bring my camera everywhere, snapping photos of friends, school events, and anything that caught my eye. I grew up attending Boston & Providence Bruins games, where I met my mentor, Sully, who introduced me to sports photography.
He taught me everything from the technical side of using my camera in fast-paced settings to the importance of timing, storytelling, and staying one step ahead of the action. But more than anything, Sully taught me to see sports through a creative lens: not just as competition, but as a place full of emotion, passion, and raw human energy. That perspective stuck with me and helped shape how I shoot today.
Now, a few years later, I’ve just completed my fourth season as the Team Photographer for the Providence Bruins and my second season with the Boston Bruins as a Game Day Videographer, creating content for their social channels. I still get excited walking into an arena knowing I get to document moments that fans will remember forever. Whether it's a game-winning goal, a behind-the-scenes moment in the tunnel, or the connection between players and fans, I seek to capture the story of each event.
While hockey is a huge part of what I do, I also love photographing events outside the sports world from high school and college games to graduations, weddings, and charity events. No matter the setting, I aim to capture honest, emotional, and impactful moments that tell a story.
This career has given me a front-row seat to so many incredible experiences, and I’m grateful every day to be doing what I love. Whether I’m on the ice with the Bruins or documenting a once-in-a-lifetime event for a couple or a family, I pour my heart into every frame.
Thanks for being here and checking out my work!
